DESCRIPTION:The quality and reliability of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) is highly dependent upon the manufacturing supplier.  However, focusing on the manufacturing partner’s processes only addresses part of the issue.  PCB design also plays a critical role in the success or failure of manufacturing and assembly.\n \nToday, designing and manufacturing PCBAs is increasingly difficult due to higher lead-free processing temperatures and the density of electronic assemblies, which has led to the use of smaller and smaller components.  Not only does this create challenges for designers, it also puts increasing complexity and demand on the PCBA manufacturer.\n \nIn this webinar, we will focus on areas of the PCBA manufacturing process that can have a substantial impact on product reliability and how best to mitigate reliability risks in those processes.  We will also explore the dependency of PCBA design on the success of the manufacturing process and how the designer can impact product success through DFM (design for manufacturability) processes.\n
